The results of Oscar 2021
Cinema’s biggest night, the 93rd Academy Awards ceremony saw Chloe Zhao set history again. The award for the best director for ‘Nomadland’ , Chloe Zhao, as the first woman of color and the second woman to win the prestigious award.
Korean actress Yuh-Jung Youn picked up the trophy for best actress in a supporting role and floored by everyone for her acceptance speech.
Veteran actor Anthony Hopkins took his second Oscar for the best actor performance in ‘’ The father’’. He had previously won the trophy for his performance in the ‘The silence of the Lambs’. He did not personally pick up his trophy at the 93rd Academy Award.
Frances McDormand bagged as the best actress for her performance in ‘Nomadland’ at the 93rd Academy Award. She has previously won the golden statuette in 2018 for ‘’Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri and for ‘Fargo’ in 1997.

The 93rd Academy Award was held at both the Dolby Theatre and Union Station. The ceremony was delayed due to a pandemic that hit the nation and get postponed two months after the originally planned date. This year the Academy Award their tradition. The nomination for this award was unveiled on March 15 by Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas. All the guests and nominees had undergone a two COVID19 test and were not required to wear a face mask while the cameras are rolling.
